Defense Verdict Obtained in Medical Malpractice Trial (Ohio Co)

Attorneys Patrick S. Casey and Ryan P. Orth of Casey & Chapman, PLLC, successfully obtained a defense verdict on behalf of their client in a medical malpractice trial in Ohio County, West Virginia.  The medical malpractice action included claims that the defendant physician failed to perform a cystoscopy following a complicated laparoscopic hysterectomy in which there were incidental bladder and ureteral injuries.  The defense maintained that the defendant physician met the applicable standard of care.  Following a three-day trial, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of defendant.
