Summary Judgment Granted; Settlement Obtained in Insurance Malpractice Matter

Attorneys Patrick S. Casey, Sandra M. Chapman, and Ryan P. Orth of Casey & Chapman, PLLC, successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of two individuals and a business entity in an insurance malpractice matter. The Court granted the Plaintiffs’ summary judgment motion, finding that Defendants breached their duty owed to Plaintiffs by failing to procure the requested and necessary insurance coverage, leaving only the issue of damages for Plaintiffs, including punitive damages, for trial. Ultimately, a favorable settlement was reached on behalf of Plaintiffs prior to trial.
